In December 2022, I wanted to add-on a benefit in my insurance policy, and for some unknown reasons my agent was not able to do it for me.

It led me to request for a change of agent again and again and in between I had gone through 3 different agents and they all said it can't be done. Some of them were even rude towards me.

I requested for a change of agent with AIA one last time and this was when I met Wen Qi. He assisted me in the process and this matter of adding a benefit to my current policy was done and completed promptly without any delays.

With what I’ve been through, I almost lost hope but thanks to Wen Qi, everything was solved. I thank Wen Qi for his willingness to help and efficiency.

Having a good insurance agent is crucial these days as we know insurance provides a means of protection against financial loss.

I am (in fact, my family too) rather apprehensive when it comes to dealing with "agents". When the KPI is sales driven, it makes us wonder how long can the agent stay with us, will he/she be easily reached when the need arises, will the agent be pushy in sales... all in all, whether he/she is sincere in helping us with financial planning.

I met Wen Qi through cold calling, as my number was provided when I participated in the Singtel Step Up challenge in collaboration with AIA back in 2019.

I was quite resistant to financial planning at that point of time, so I kept postponing our appointments but Wen Qi's warm personality (sounded like he had that over the phone before we met) got me to finally sit down and approach the world of financial planning.

When we first met, I expected him to dive straight into insurance but he caught me by surprise when he did not. Our first appointment was a casual one, just getting to know each other and our lives. It was not awkward and in fact a comfortable meeting.

It ended with me telling him that if he wanted to close a deal with me, I was the wrong one he looked for as I was not willing to give up some of my expenses to insure myself and he can try his luck a few months later (after CNY) where I might have extra money.

I was amazed when he actually texted me in March 2020 to ask about me. His subtle persistence had me looked him with another eye and I knew he would be the one I can trust to help me on financial planning.

As I was still skeptical about putting aside money for insurance, Wen Qi took time to draw up 3 detailed plans so that I can decide on which I am most comfortable with. His effort towards individuals was definitely commendable.

When I was admitted for appendicitis in April 2021, even though he was not in charge of my hospitalisation plan, he came down to visit and looked thru the invoices and payment to make sure all was in good order.
